8K 360° vs. 4K Ultra-Wide – A Different Creative Approach
DJI Avata 360 captures immersive 8K/60fps HDR footage using dual camera sensors, recording the entire environment around the drone.
DJI Avata 2 focuses on traditional FPV footage, recording up to 4K/60fps HDR with a dramatic 155° ultra-wide field of view.
Choose Avata 360 for flexible 360-degree storytelling, or Avata 2 for straightforward, immersive wide-angle action footage.
Shoot First, Frame Later
With Avata 360, you can change the perspective of your footage after recording. Reframe from different angles, adjust the horizon, and create multiple video clips from a single 360-degree recording.
Avata 2 captures conventional wide-angle footage, where your main shooting perspective is determined during flight.
Immersive FPV Flying
Both drones support immersive first-person flying with compatible DJI Goggles and motion controllers.
Avata 2 delivers a traditional FPV experience with its 155° ultra-wide camera and Easy ACRO flight manoeuvres.
Avata 360 combines immersive flight with 360-degree recording, allowing users to discover new camera perspectives after landing.
Obstacle Sensing & Flight Confidence
DJI Avata 360 features omnidirectional obstacle sensing for greater environmental awareness during supported flights.
DJI Avata 2 uses downward and backward visual positioning sensors to assist with flight stability, but does not offer omnidirectional obstacle avoidance.
Both models feature integrated propeller guards for additional physical protection.
Obstacle sensing and propeller guards do not eliminate collision risks. Always fly responsibly and follow local regulations.
Flight Time, Weight & Portability
DJI Avata 2 weighs approximately 377 g, making it lighter than the approximately 455 g Avata 360.
Both drones offer up to 23 minutes of manufacturer-rated flight time. Actual flight duration varies with speed, wind, camera settings, and flying style.
