DJI Matrice 5TD Enterprise Dock Drone
Take a Closer Look
The DJI Matrice 5TD is an enterprise drone built for rapid deployment, demanding missions and round-the-clock aerial monitoring. Designed to launch straight from the DJI Dock 4, it combines a multi-camera payload, multi-directional radar, a unified software ecosystem and enterprise-grade security in one aircraft.
Key Features
- Rapid, instant deployment from DJI Dock 4 – up to 21 m/s in FlyTo Tasks [1]
- Wide-angle, medium tele and 11× tele cameras, thermal imaging, full-color night vision and 3 km laser ranging
- Three-directional mmWave radar, rotating LiDAR and six-directional low-light vision sensing [2]
- Up to 450 g payload across three mounting positions [3]
- Integrated parachute, custom flight zones and airspace awareness
- Onboard AI, FlightHub 2 Copilot and automated workflows
- Encrypted data collection, transmission and storage
Airborne First, Ahead of Ground Crews
The aircraft lifts off as soon as the DJI Dock 4 cover opens and heads straight to the scene, streaming live video on arrival – often before ground teams get there.
Zero-Delay Takeoff
Launch on command with no local pilot needed, for fast emergency response at any hour, including nights and holidays.
21 m/s Swift Arrival [1]
Flying above road traffic at up to 21 m/s, the drone saves critical minutes when every second counts.
Total Clarity, Day or Night
Telephoto, infrared, laser ranging and full-color night vision are built into one aircraft, reaching 10 cm aerial survey accuracy at 12MP [4]. Daytime inspection, night-time security and precision surveying can all be handled without swapping airframes [5].
11× Telephoto
With a 252 mm equivalent focal length, read signs from 400 m away [6] or spot pin- and bolt-level defects from 100 m during powerline inspections.
Infrared Camera
UHR mode raises thermal resolution from 1280 × 1024 to 2560 × 2048 to reveal overheating or damaged insulators, with 32× zoom and 2K recording for night-time subjects.
Fusion Mode
Combine visible and thermal imaging in a single view. Edge or overlay fusion lets you watch structural outlines and heat signatures at the same time, without switching feeds.
Improved Night Performance
Full-color 4K high-frame-rate night vision captures color images in the dark without turning on a spotlight. Paired with the NIR auxiliary light, the camera can also record black-and-white night vision.
3 km Laser Ranging
Range data and PinPoint coordinates are overlaid on the live feed, speeding up powerline inspections, rescue operations and wildfire estimates.
Expand Your Capabilities
Carry up to 450 g using the side PSDK mounts and the top mount at the same time, and mix accessories to suit each mission [7]. Three mounting positions [3] allow lighting, communication and safety payloads to fly together – for example a speaker, spotlight [8] and parachute at once for aerial announcements and layered lighting during night searches. A built-in programmable warning light offers adjustable colors and flash patterns with no extra hardware.
Safe Navigation in Complex Terrain
Three-directional mmWave radar, rotating LiDAR and six-directional vision sensors give precise obstacle sensing [2], from active substations to crossing distribution lines.
Precise Wire Detection
Rotating LiDAR, mmWave radar [9] and full-color low-light fisheye sensors work together to detect even very thin powerlines, day or night.
Omnidirectional Full-Color Sensing
Six high-resolution low-light fisheye sensors provide true six-directional obstacle sensing [2][10], even under ambient city lighting at night.
Flexible Setup for Complex Environments
LiDAR, visual SLAM and anti-interference technology let DJI Dock 4 pair with the O4 Ground Station [11] for flexible deployment.
- High-rise buildings [12]: mount the O4 Ground Station on a rooftop for a reliable signal, so Dock 4 can sit right next to substation walls or tall structures.
- Vehicles (coming soon) [13]: take off from a parked vehicle and land at a new location once the vehicle reaches its next stop.
- Multi-station support: with O4 Ground Station roaming, the drone switches automatically between ground stations to remove signal blind spots and extend range.
Comprehensive Failsafe Protection
A top-mounted parachute system with independent power, full-link redundancy and automatic or manual deployment softens emergency descents; the integrated FTS meets EU C5/C6 and UK5/UK6 standards [14]. Proximate aircraft detection and high-wind descent RTH add further protection.
AI-Powered Workflows
Onboard AI detects 17 object categories and infrared hotspots in real time on the live stream, and third-party AI models can be integrated. In the Virtual Cockpit, a multimodal LLM finds targets from a text description or an uploaded image and raises alerts automatically.
Turn Alerts into Instant Action
As soon as an anomaly is found, the system sends SMS, email or platform alerts and responds automatically – taking snapshots, recording video, tracking the target or hovering in place.
FlightHub 2 Copilot
Describe flight commands, routes and schedules in everyday language, and FlightHub 2 Copilot turns them into drone commands.
- Automated workflows: trigger flights from third-party alerts such as DFR calls, or schedule routine data collection, 3D modeling, analysis and reporting.
- AI reports in minutes: new data is compared with historical aerial photos or 3D models, findings are annotated and a report is exported.
- Change Detection Pro: flags facility damage, surface changes and unauthorized structures automatically, replacing frame-by-frame review.
Enhancing Ground Safety
A DJI-designed parachute, custom flight zones and compliance-by-design flight control reduce flight risk for safe, compliant operations in complex urban areas.
DJI Parachute System
If an unexpected system failure occurs, the parachute deploys to greatly reduce ground impact.
Custom Flight Zones
Zones enforced by the flight controller keep the drone inside its assigned area.
Airspace Hazard Reduction
Remote ID sensing [15], AirSense and third-party airspace data give real-time situational awareness before and during flight. The O4 Ground Station can connect to a third-party Remote ID receiver via MQTT; the aircraft receives ADS-B signals from crewed aircraft and detects nearby drones, with all of it shown in FlightHub 2.
Security
- Encrypted data collection: operational, flight and device data is routed through encrypted channels from the moment it is created.
- Data transmission: TLS 1.2+ and AES-256 between drone and dock, plus HTTPS, WSS and TLS for cloud uploads.
- Data storage: sensitive data is protected with AES-256-CBC, role-based access control and full activity logs.
- Data deletion: account-, organization- and device-level deletion, including clearing local logs in DJI Pilot or a full factory reset.
Open Ecosystem
- Upgraded AI Inside architecture with dual-stream encoding, model quantization tools and dedicated deployment channels for onboard algorithms.
- Three E-Port interfaces and 450 g payload capacity for equipment such as gas detectors and current-flow meters.
- TerraGS-CesiumJS web plugin for loading and visualizing large-scale 3DGS data in third-party platforms.
- Cross-cloud coordination through the DJI FlightHub 2 Open API [16].

Notes
- Data was measured with mass-production DJI Dock 4 and DJI Matrice 5TD units in controlled test environments; actual results vary with firmware, environment and usage. Sample media is for illustration only.
- The DJI Matrice 5TD must be activated through the DJI Enterprise app before first use. Routine servicing at scheduled intervals is required to keep the equipment reliable.
- [1] Speeds of up to 21 m/s are supported only in FlyTo Tasks; all other flight modes are capped at 15 m/s.
- [2] Can sense black rubber-insulated wires as thin as 11 mm. Detection and bypass depend on weather (rain, snow, fog, cloud) and the obstacle's material, orientation and shape. The aircraft cannot actively avoid fast-moving objects; see the User Manual. mmWave radar may be disabled or restricted in some countries and regions.
- [3] Requires the Matrice 5TD Accessory Mount.
- [4] Aerial-triangulation checkpoint accuracy of 10 cm at 120 m altitude in standard area route photography (orthographic or oblique, no Terrain Follow) at 12MP, measured at an official DJI test facility in good light with an O4 Ground Station calibrated via custom network RTK, 70% side / 80% frontal overlap, hard diffuse-reflective ground markers, and processing in DJI Terra or FlightHub 2.
- [5] Refers to the Matrice 5TD's backward compatibility with the core operating capabilities of the Matrice 4TD and Matrice 4D.
- [6] Recorded with the tele camera aimed directly at the target in a controlled test environment; for reference only.
- [7] Some accessories are sold separately. Mounted accessories may affect flight performance or obstacle sensing; follow the accessory guidelines.
- [8] Turning on the spotlight disables visual obstacle sensing, leaving only mmWave radar and LiDAR. Omnidirectional obstacle detection is degraded, so fly with extra caution.
- [9] mmWave radar may be restricted or unavailable in some countries and regions.
- [10] Switches automatically to black-and-white mode when ambient light falls below 12 lux.
- [11] DJI Dock 4 must be paired with the DJI O4 Ground Station, which connects in Gateway Mode to DJI FlightHub 2 (public cloud, On-Premises Version or integrated appliance) or to third-party platforms via DJI Cloud API or FlightHub Sync, over Ethernet or the DJI Cellular Dongle 2. 4G is not available in some countries and regions; operating frequencies vary by region.
- [12] High-rise deployment depends on satellite positioning coverage, currently available in most of the Asia Pacific region. Install the O4 Ground Station in an open area and survey the site with a Matrice 4 Series or Matrice 4D aircraft first; see DJI's Installation and Setup Manual.
- [13] Vehicle-mounted deployment is expected in H1 2027. Takeoff and landing are supported only while the vehicle is fully parked, not moving. It requires the Vehicle-Mounted Gimbal Mount and must follow local regulations, road safety rules and height restrictions.
- [14] With the DJI AP1 parachute, the Matrice 5TD complies with EU C5 and UK5 (STS-01) and EU C6 and UK6 (STS-02).
- [15] Currently works only with crewed aircraft fitted with ADS-B Out and with select DJI models that support Remote ID (RID) and Operator ID (OID).
- [16] FlightHub 2 supports secondary development through OpenAPI, modular front-end components and MQTT Bridge.
- [17] Flight time and distance measured in a windless lab at 20 m altitude, no payload, flying forward at 15 m/s from 100% to 0% battery; hovering time measured hovering at 20 m from 100% to 0%. Operating radius measured at about 25°C with a 15% safety battery level, ~15 m/s round trip and 25 minutes of hovering without payload. Results vary with environment, use and firmware.
- [18] Do not point the infrared camera at strong energy sources such as the sun, lava or laser beams; the sensor can be permanently damaged.
